Ein Privatauftrag im Sinne des klassischen Bürgerportraits: Der Galerist Heinz Teufel hat in einem autobiographischen Film seine Galerie und die Künstler Horst Bartnig, Zdeněk Sýkora, Andreas Brandt und Manfred Mohr verewigt. Dabei durfte Christian Asbach als Regisseur, Kameramann und Cutter behilflich sein, und mit Produktionerin Violetta Donhöffner und Tonmann Micha Scheunemann wurde der Film so sehenswert, dass der Verlag Absolut Medien ihn in sein Programm aufgenommen hat. Außerdem wurde der Film monatelang im Kunstmuseum Stuttgart und in der städtischen Galerie Sopot bei Danzig gezeigt und lief bei einer ganzen Reihe von Veranstaltungen im Kunst-Kontext.

Heinz Teufel has spent a successful lifetime of promoting artists of the concrete-constructivist movement in his gallery. In this 60-minute documentary, four of the artists he had worked with over many decades testify to the mutual inspiration and facilitation of creative minds and the gallerist as front-man. Introversion and exuberance, reclusiveness and urbanity need to collaborate to make works of art enter into the market and the discourse - these mechanisms become tangible in the encounters of old friends in Berlin, New York, Niebüll, Louny, and Stuttgart.
